I'm told the design is crap, and it sorta kinda is.
I selected the colors to make the site difficult to
print out, that pisses some people off.

Hey, the internet and the info is free, archive
rights are mine. :-)

I get my factory mags from a local FFL who does the
gunshows, so I can't help there! But I must admit the
prices aren't so good at $25. This doesn't bother me
because I only needed one spare magazine.

The 10 does what I want it to, and anyone that says
the .40 is better denies simple math. A .40 bullet at 950
fps doesn't have a clue what case it was launched out of,
and hotter rounds in .357 are the darling of Sooo many
gun scribes.

The Witness brings to the table a good mix of qualities.
Small size, easy recoil, reliable (generally) and reasonably
priced.

The price locally was $25, and I got it because it was
on the table at the gunshow, not because its price
was low. I also had to buy one from EAA at full price
before my original mag had to go to EAA for replacement.

Remember it is a limited production item, and they
do have a right to make some extra bucks on the few
mags they will sell. Look, I'm not defending the
prices EAA's asking, but locally dealers get $39.99
for genuine Colt 10mm Delta magazines, and they do sell.

If Pro Mag thinks that there was only one compact 10mm sold,
it's their mistake.

That could be possible. EAA sells the Witness in 10mm
due in part to my Web site and its readers hounding
EAA and Tanfoglio. The problem is I really don't want to
"punish" EAA for bringing them in, I'd rather "reward"
them. If it takes spending an extra $20 on a magazine,
so be it, I'm going to be the one to help them out.

I don't begrudge them making an extra 10-15 dollars on a mag
for a $325 dollar gun. Most people happily spend $500
on a Glock, and pay $29 for a magazine.

So what we're talking about here is a difference of fifteen bucks
or so on one mag you'll need. That's not bad.

Whether or not the Pro-Mag is a better mag, I can't say. There
were some owners of Tanfoglio mags who cracked the spot weld,
but I was told that they kept stuffing 10 rounds into the
9 round mag. My mags have not had a problem.

If Pro mag wants a sure thing, they should stick to Colt,
Beretta, and H&K. I have no problem being loyal to the
importer and leaving after market companies to "cherry pick"
their niche.
