Are you using the .40 in IPSC because it it Hi-cap, or brass is
easy to come by, or both? I use the 10 for IPSC, and poppers
are smashed down with zippy 200 grainers better than ANY
other caliber I've used. When the wind whips up and the heavy
poppers are throttled forward leaning into the wind, the only
calibers to have are .45's and 10's.

I thought they ground all your guns up into dust over there, are you
a LEO? Anyway, lots of pigs there? I have a 7BR that I'm itching
to whack a pig with from 100-200 meters.

This is one I'd shoot a little, and fondle a lot.

A RACER Bren? I like the idea.

Me too. IMO, the 5" N frame is the most elegant
and properly proportioned barrel length. Longer
looks like Pinocchio, shorter looks... silly, like
a runt Giraffe.

I have (all 5 or 5.5" bbl) a pair of 625's in .45 ACP
and .45 Colt, a 627 (1980's vintage not the behemoth
so-called 627 of the PC) and a 610. Someday I'll stumble
on a 5" 629, but that caliber is as useless to me as boobs
on a tree, so if I DO find one, it'll have to be the right
price.

It's there and luckily doesn't cost me anything :-)
My Dialup gives me the freebie space, I can live
with that.

That's not unusual at all. I've been in the PC business
longer than ANYONE (trust me on this) and I feel like a
proctologist... they probably wouldn't much care if Madonna
shook her butt in their face, seen one, seen most, and I
really don't much like PC's either... it's not generally
fun, it's WORK!

Good choices, but a Thompson? I didn't know they made them!
I drop in there every year or so as my parents live nearby,
and never heard of this variant. Live and learn.
